Charlie Siem returns to Basel for the Stars at Rhine Festival

Charlie Siem returns to Basel for the Stars at Rhine Festival 2017. He will be playing on 30 June at the Museum Kleines Klingental alongside artists Catherine Sarasin, Anastasia Voltchok, and Miriam Terragni. His programme will feature Hungarian Dance No.17 by Brahms arr. Fritz Kreisler and Sonata No.6 in E major, Op.27 by Ysaÿe. For more details and tickets, please visit the festival’s website.

Charlie Siem’s debut tour of Australia

This March/April sees Charlie Siem make his recital debut in Australia, with eight recitals throughout the New South Wales region and a programme that includes sonatas by Grieg, Beethoven and Ysaÿe. Beginning at the Castlemaine State Festival on 24 March, the tour will take him through Albury, Canberra, Orange, Cessnock and Newcastle, before ending with two performances in Sydney: the first at The Concourse in Chatswood (9 April) and the last at the infamous Sydney Opera House (10 April).

Charlie Siem will be touring in China at the beginning of March

Charlie Siem will be travelling through China at the beginning of March to perform a series of recitals with pianist Caroline Jaya-Ratnam. They will start on 10 March at the Xuzhou Concert Hall, continuing to Suzhou Concert Hall on 14 March and Shanghai Concert Hall on 16 March, to finish at the Nanjing University of the Arts Concert Hall, a place well known to Charlie Siem as he is a Visiting Professor at the University. Charlie Siem performs in Norway

Returning to his father’s homeland, Charlie Siem begins 2017 by performing two concerts in Norway at the end of January. Joined once again by his sonata partner, the internationally acclaimed Itamar Golan, Charlie will perform works by Vitali, Beethoven, Grieg, Ysaye, and Ole Bull at both concerts. The first takes place at Bærum Kulturhus on 28 January and the second at the Ålesund Parken Kulturhus on 29 January. Visit the links for full details and tickets.

ICA is pleased to welcome British-Norwegian violinist Charlie Siem to its artist roster for General Management (except Greater China). One of today’s most popular young violinists, Siem works with many of the world’s finest orchestras (such as the London Symphony Orchestra and Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra), and conductors (including Charles Dutoit, Edward Gardner, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Sir Roger Norrington, Libor Pešek and Yuri Simonov, amongst others), and his regular sonata partner is the renowned pianist Itamar Golan.  He holds an international recording contract with SONY Classical.

Passionate about bringing classical music to new audiences around the world, Charlie Siem has also had numerous violin-inspired collaborations with fashion brands including Armani, Chanel, Dunhill, Hugo Boss, and Dior.

Charlie Siem returns to China with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Charlie Siem will be returning to China to perform the Bruch Violin Concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Charles Dutoit.
This concert will take place on 7 November at the Nanjing University of the Arts, where he is also a visiting professor.

As well as the concert, he will be giving a masterclass to the students of the university and will continue to fulfil his role of being ambassador of Nanjing Week 2016. Organised by Amethyst Performing Arts Management.
